Current analytics state
Google Analytics 4 is the selected analytics system. Advertising personalization is disabled, and affiliate links are clearly disclosed before a reader follows them to Amazon US.
Analytics we use
GA4 is intended to measure page use, finder completion, and disclosed outbound affiliate clicks so the team can improve content and understand which guides help readers. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled in the site configuration.
Analytics storage defaults to denied. Visitors can allow or decline analytics in the on-page preference notice; that choice is stored in browser local storage under countertop-ice-lab:analytics-consent. Declining keeps analytics storage and all advertising-related consent states denied.
Cloudflare provides aggregate edge traffic, security, and performance information for the domain. Cloudflare Web Analytics may also be used as a secondary privacy-first view of page traffic and Core Web Vitals; it is not used as the affiliate event system.
Data that may be processed
- Page views, approximate acquisition source, content engagement, finder completion, and aggregate outbound affiliate-link events.
- Basic security and operational logs needed to protect and troubleshoot the service.
- Information a reader chooses to send through the future contact route.
- Affiliate attribution handled by the destination retailer under its own policy after a reader follows a clearly disclosed link.
